About Plymouth

Plymouth was a Chrysler Corporation car brand introduced in 1928 to serve the affordable-car market. It remained part of Chrysler and later DaimlerChrysler until the brand ended in 2001.12

Its performance cars included the Barracuda, Road Runner and NASCAR-inspired Superbird. The brand also helped establish the modern American minivan market with the Voyager, introduced in 1983 for the 1984 model year.12

DaimlerChrysler announced Plymouth’s phaseout in 1999. The last Plymouth, a Neon sedan, was built in June 2001.12
