About Mahindra
Mahindra & Mahindra is an Indian manufacturer of utility vehicles, commercial vehicles and tractors. J. C. Mahindra, K. C. Mahindra and Ghulam Mohammed founded the business in 1945 as a steel-trading company. It adopted its present name in 1948.1
The company developed its vehicle business around Willys Jeeps and later its own SUVs. The Bolero launched in 2000 and the Scorpio followed in 2002.12
