About JAECOO
JAECOO is an SUV brand of China’s Chery group, introduced internationally in 2023 alongside OMODA. Its first model was the JAECOO 7, followed by the larger J8, which made its world premiere in Doha that October.12
The brand expanded into export markets with petrol and plug-in hybrid vehicles. It launched in the United Kingdom in January 2025, where the JAECOO 7 was offered with petrol and Super Hybrid System powertrains. The smaller JAECOO 5 and electric E5 subsequently expanded its model range.34
